One of the members of the teaching staff is Fr Michael Fountaine, chair of the Clifton Diocesan Department of Liturgy. Under his direction the Department is collaborating with Wesley College in offering a Certificate in Pastoral Liturgy which may be taken either as a Certificate in Higher Education or as the first stage towards a Degree or Diploma in Theological Studies validated by the University of Bristol. Units in Liturgy will also be available at MA level for suitably qualified or experienced applicants.

The Certificate consists of six compulsory modules

  • Introduction to theology
  • Introduction to Biblical Studies
  • Liturgical Ministries
  • The Liturgical Movement – history and development
  • The drama of liturgy
  • Liturgical music and resources

Students then choose ONE of the following
